Doubling Down on Physical Security AI: Two New EVPs to Lead Our Next Chapter

Two new EVPs announced: Willem Ryan, EVP of Sales and Marketing, and Vikas Chauhan, EVP of Value Engineering and Customer Success, pictured on a gradient background.

As AI reshapes how the world secures people and places, Willem Ryan and Vikas Chauhan step into Executive Vice President roles, one leading our go-to-market, the other our customer value engine.

Today we’re sharing two leadership moves that say a lot about where Alert Enterprise is headed. Willem Ryan and Vikas Chauhan are both stepping into Executive Vice President roles, deliberate moves at a pivotal moment, as physical security is reshaped by AI faster than anything our industry has seen in years.

We’ve leaned into AI early and with conviction. In 2024 we launched the industry’s first physical security AI chatbot, and this year our AI innovation earned the ServiceNow Knowledge 2026 AI Innovation Award for our Guardian Security AI Agent. These two promotions put the leaders who’ve helped drive that work in charge of bringing it to customers and making it deliver.


Willem Ryan — EVP, Sales and Marketing

Willem takes the reins of our entire go-to-market organization, bringing sales and marketing together under one leader who already understands both our market and our AI strategy. Many of you have followed his work over his nearly eight years here, building the Guardian brand and the demand engine behind it. He brings more than 20 years across sales, product management, and marketing, a rare full-funnel view of how this industry buys, builds, and grows, and since 2024 he’s led the go-to-market for our AI portfolio.

In his new role, Willem will unify sales and marketing behind a single go-to-market strategy, lead the commercialization of our AI portfolio, deepen our partnerships across the identity ecosystem, and scale our reach across physical security.

Vikas Chauhan — EVP, Value Engineering and Customer Success

Vikas will lead our global Value Engineering and Customer Success organizations, a deliberate evolution from traditional services delivery toward a proactive, value-engineering-led model that fuels growth and long-term customer loyalty. Since joining us in 2008, he has been at the heart of what we build and deliver during his roles in engineering and products, scaling our Global Services, PMO, Customer Success, and Support teams from the ground up and championing the AE Security 360 program and the phased rollout methodology now accelerating time-to-value for customers worldwide.

With deep expertise across software engineering, program management, compliance, and identity and access governance in complex IT-Physical & OT environments, Vikas is also helping lead our move into intelligent, autonomous security — driving the expansion of our agentic portfolio, with a steady commitment to responsible, ethical AI. In his expanded role he’ll own our unified post-sales value chain, balancing solutions built for complex architecture and deep configuration with customer health anchored in Net Revenue Retention.
