Zero baggage with Guardian Airport Badging

October 13, 2023

Two men looking into the distance, one pointing in front of him.

A bustling airport in the west coast wanted to further streamline their security processes and automate badging across their operations to reduce errors, save time, and create a less stressful and more secure experience for their staff.

How we helped

We upgraded their Airport Guardian platform to include automated badging capabilities. The scope of the project included enabling signatory management, integrations with Genetec physical access control system, automated training management, and providing smarter data related to the badging system’s usage, training and access control.

As part of the upgrade, we also implemented the Designated Aviation Channeling Services (DACS) background check for American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).

Solutions selected

Guardian Airport Badging
· Manage access levels
· Activate/deactivate badges
· Pre-enrollment by authorized signatory
· Automated in-house training management

AAAE Integration
· DACS background checks for aviation workers

Benefits to declare

With streamlined badging, training, reporting and background checks, the airport can ensure safer and easier physical access control. For instance, since the upgrade, they have deactivated 176,235 badges, added 14,187 new ones, and managed 3,170 access levels across their enterprise.
