DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for directing and leading the company’s accounting and financial functions, including establishing and maintaining the company’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Prepare financial reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports; prepare reports required by regulatory agencies, banks, investors, and other external parties.
  • Responsible for projections, budget preparations, and variance reports.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.
  • Responsible for government filings.
  • Coordinate year-end audits.
  • Coordinate corporate tax preparation.
  • Demonstrable expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures, with extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Good knowledge of inter-company accounts and subsidiaries.
  • Good knowledge of foreign currency transactions, multiple currency transactions, and forward contracts.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of the accounting department.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of direct experience in the field.
  • Reports to CFO.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting or finance, or equivalent or higher.
  • Two to four years of related experience, with a minimum of 7 years of finance and accounting experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
