Lenel and AlertEnterprise are showcasing their solutions at one of the security industry’s largest events — ASIS International 2015 — at the AlertEnterprise booth (#709) and UTC booth (#3910). The 61st ASIS Annual Seminar and exhibition is being held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, Sept. 28 – Oct. 2.

Leveraging the new interface between the OnGuard system and AlertEnterprise’s Guardian™ software, customers can now manage identities for employees, contractors, vendors and visitors across multiple systems such as HR, IT, Security and SCADA – helping to ensure policy enforcement, continuity and more,” said Ron Virden, managing director, electronic access solutions, Lenel.

We applaud the fact that Lenel is leveraging these capabilities. AlertEnterprise and Lenel can deliver comprehensive solutions to Fortune 500 and Global 1000 customers for both corporate and critical infrastructure protection.”

Gill goes on to explain, “another unique dimension of our solution is that it offers unique enhanced mechanisms to help thwart unauthorized access, for example it will alert on unauthorized configuration changes to an access control server designed to protect against validation of fake badges.”

AlertEnterprise has PIAM, Physical Security Information Management and compliance validation solutions that complement OnGuard’s industry leading, enterprise security management platform.

“Lenel and AlertEnterprise share the same view that enterprise solutions should be out-of-the-box and highly configurable, rather than require custom development with expensive deployment and ongoing maintenance,” Virden said.” We look forward to working together with AlertEnterprise on future solutions that deliver added value to our mutual customers.”

AlertEnterprise is riding a new wave in Security Convergence known as IT-OT (Operational Technology) Security Convergence. AlertEnterprise Wins ASIS Accolades
Best of Security Award for 2014
Solution Inspired by the Snowden Leak and Navy Yard Incidents being showcased at ASIS 2014 in Atlanta Sept. 29 – Oct. 2, 2014 at Booth #2545

Atlanta, GA -- September 29, 2014 – ASIS 2014 AlertEnterprise, a leading security convergence software vendor announced that it has won the ASIS Accolades Best of Security Award for 2014. The company will be recognized for its innovation at an awards luncheon during the ASIS 2014 Conference to be held in Atlanta, GA, September 29 – October 2, 2014.

AlertEnterprise is now delivering the industry's first converged insider threat management solution. Dubbed Insider Alert™, this solution is comprised of unique software that links Identity Management, Enterprise Applications, and Networks with Access Control, Video, and Operational SCADA Systems. AlertEnterprise creates a risk score for each employee, contractor, etc., and tracks their background checks and criminal history record, ensuring that no relevant information is missed prior to provisioning either physical access or access to privileged information.

According to Jasvir Gill, Founder and CEO of AlertEnterprise, “The creation of this solution was inspired by the aftermath of the Snowden Leak and Navy Yard incidents. Organizations can prevent these kinds of events. The technology exists today. The evidence usually lies between the gaps that exist between IT systems such as HR and Background Check information from authoritative sources, and the act of provisioning access”. Gill goes on to add, “As we saw in the case of the Navy Yard incident, hidden somewhere is the organization was all the background and risk information, it just wasn’t available to those who were tasked with provisioning the physical access. We automatically uncover the information and make it available to the right people at the right time”.

The Accolades Awards will be presented at a networking luncheon on Monday, Sept. 29. All entrants have been invited to display their entries in the Accolades Showcase in the exhibit hall (Booth # 4349), and they can be previewed online now at the Accolades site. Additionally, the winning entries will be highlighted, along with other new products, during the Seminar’s “What’s New on the Floor” session, on Monday, Sept. 29 at 1:45 p.m. Voting for the People’s Choice Award Accolade will open on Monday as well. Attendees may vote via the mobile application or via the People’s Choice Award voting kiosks in the Accolades Showcase and at the Social Media and Technology Bar in the registration area.

A team of judges representing end users and experts in security technologies evaluated all entries and selected this year’s winners that Included AlertEnterprise. Noted in an ASIS news release on this year’s winners, “The entries this year were extremely impressive, making the task of selecting the winners a challenge,” observed Accolades Co-Chair Ron Lander, CPP. “The security profession today has an amazing array of high quality products and services to choose from, as ASIS 2014 attendees will see in the exhibit hall this year, along with Accolades winners, ” noted Co-Chair Howard Belfor, CPP.

AlertEnterprise™ Demonstrates First Enterprise-Proven IT-OT Security Intelligence Platform at Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit, June 23-25
Enterprise Sentry™ Delivers Unified Critical Infrastructure Protection across Cyber, OT / SCADA and Physical Security

National Harbor, MD -- June 23, 2014: AlertEnterprise, today, announced the first proven IT-OT (Operational Technology) Security Convergence Platform at Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit. Now operating in high security environments, the Enterprise Sentry offering meets Gartner's rigorous definition of Cybersecurity revised to include IT Security, OT Security and Physical Security.

Organizations are conditioned to respond to incidents along departmental lines. This silo approach leaves wide gaps open for malicious actors to opportunistically create blended threats across the domains of cyber security, physical security and operational systems, thereby defeating exiting security and controls.

Enterprise Sentry™ delivers security intelligence for fast, informed response to security breaches across multiple domains: IT security, physical access to facilities and assets; and operational technology like SCADA or Industrial Control Systems. By consolidating cyber, human and asset intelligence, Enterprise Sentry delivers unmatched ability to the SOC (Security Operations Center) to (1) correlate threats that extend beyond IT and across the enterprise and (2) deliver smart decision support to security teams for the most rapid response to unfolding events, mitigating their impact, and sometimes preventing incidents altogether.

Mark Weatherford, a Principal at the Chertoff Group and the former Deputy Undersecretary for Cybersecurity at the US Department of Homeland Security, notes that "critical infrastructure like Utilities, Oil and Gas, Chemicals, and Transportation all manage large geographically dispersed operating assets. Until now it has been impossible for organizations to simultaneously capture, correlate and comprehend the vast number and types of threats, both physical and cyber in all locations".

Jasvir Gill, Founder and CEO of AlertEnterprise adds that, "Enterprise Sentry delivers comprehensive awareness of single and blended threats, creating a virtual command and control center able to initiate informed response and fast action".

Enterprise Sentry features include built-in risk scoring by role, for employees and contractors, as well as asset risk for high-value assets and underlying systems. Additionally, machine learning features assist with assimilating behavior patterns and delivering split-second detection of anomalies. Built-in support for big data components like SAP HANA and Hadoop ensures real-time correlation of signals across complete data sets from disparate threat intelligence sources.
